iii.         The beneficiary must be incapable of\nstanding up from a regular armchair or any chair in the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iv.         When the user stands, he or she must be\nable to walk even if it requires using a walker or cane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to state that Medicare will not cover the cost of the lift chair if the beneficiary resides in a hospice or skilled nursing facility. Also, if Medicare foots the bill of a manual wheelchair<\/a>, power wheelchair<\/a>, or scooter<\/a>, it will make the user ineligible for Medicare coverage for a lift chair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step\n3: As soon as your physician sends the appropriate medical information to your\nprovider, the next step is to select a lift chair.
